Becky loves nothing better than energetic engagement with international communities, to achieve meaningful impact with new ideas & approaches, in alignment with the specific challenges being faced. Currently Becky is active in several very exciting communities which she would love you to join or follow.

20 years of TED

Between 1996 - 2016 Becky was lead researcher in a community of textile & material makers & researchers - Textiles Environment Design (TED) - at Chelsea, UAL. Watch the 5-minute highlights film here.

World Circular Textiles Day 2050 (WCTD2050)

On 8 October every year the WCTD community celebrates progress. Become a signatory, enter a case study on our Knowledge Hub, host your own event, or book a ticket for our event here.
Textile & Clothing Business Labs (TCBL)

The TCBL community brings people together to nurture a truly sustainable textile/clothing industry. Labs all across Europe meet regularly & members carry out research on core themes, often through EU-funded projects.
Circular by Design Innovation Festival, Ireland

The Circular by Design Innovation Festival is part of Design Week Ireland & the CFA programme. It was set up primarily for the Irish textile & fashion design community.
Global Change Award, H&M Foundation

If you have an idea you want to develop into a commercial reality, there are now lots of places you can apply for support. The GCA has an annual application round.
Climate Emergency Network (UAL)

If you are staff or a student at UAL you can be part of this vibrant community of changemakers. We develop campaigns, actions & activities to show that the arts can, & must, respond to the climate & ecological emergency.
The Design Journal & European Design Academy

The Design Journal is a leading international peer-reviewed journal covering all aspects of design & its interdisciplinary practices. It is aligned to the European Academy of Design.
